Advertiser & Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 1, 2026

The Short Version

CalcFi is free to use because some of our content contains affiliate links. When you click a link to a financial product or service and sign up or make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. This never influences which calculators we build or their accuracy. Our editorial recommendations are based on genuine product research, not commission rates.

1. Who We Are

CalcFi (operated by Autonomatica / Lumavera OÜ, an Estonian company) provides free financial calculators and educational content at calcfi.app. Our calculators are designed to help you make informed financial decisions — they are educational tools, not personalized financial advice.

2. How We Earn Revenue

CalcFi earns revenue through the following channels:

  • Affiliate commissions: When you click a link to a partner financial product (e.g., a loan lender, investing platform, or tax software) and complete a qualifying action (account opening, loan funding, subscription), we may receive a commission from the partner company.
  • Display advertising: We may display third-party advertisements on some pages. Advertisers do not influence our editorial content.
  • Sponsored content: Occasionally, we publish content sponsored by a financial company. All sponsored content is clearly labeled as such.

These revenue sources allow us to offer all 312+ calculators for free, without requiring a login or subscription.

3. FTC Compliance

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), CalcFi discloses material connections between our site and recommended products:

  • Pages containing affiliate links display an "Advertiser Disclosure" notice near the top.
  • Individual affiliate links are marked with contextual disclosures where technically feasible.
  • The presence of a "Recommended Tools" section, "Sponsored" label, or partner CTA indicates a potential financial relationship.

4. How Affiliate Relationships Affect Our Content

We want to be direct: we evaluate financial products independently of their affiliate programs. Our criteria include:

  • Product quality, features, and user experience
  • Fees, rates, and real-world value to our readers
  • Customer service and regulatory standing
  • Relevance to the calculator a user just completed

We do not:

  • Accept payment to rank a product higher than it deserves
  • Alter calculator results to favor affiliate partners
  • Remove negative reviews because a partner requests it
  • Recommend products we wouldn't use ourselves

That said, you should be aware that we have a financial incentive when you click affiliate links. We believe this is offset by our commitment to accuracy and relevance, but you should weigh that context.

5. Our Partner Companies

We currently have (or are in the process of establishing) affiliate relationships with companies in the following categories:

  • Banking and savings (Ally, Marcus, SoFi)
  • Investing and retirement (Betterment, Wealthfront, Fidelity, Vanguard, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, M1 Finance, Acorns)
  • Mortgages and loans (Rocket Mortgage, LendingTree, Credible, SoFi, LightStream, Upstart, Better.com)
  • Tax software (TurboTax, H&R Block, QuickBooks, TaxSlayer)
  • Insurance (Policygenius, Haven Life, Ethos, Lemonade)
  • Credit and financial health (Credit Karma, NerdWallet, Bankrate, Experian, Self Financial)
  • Legal and business formation (LegalZoom, Northwest Registered Agent, Gusto, FreshBooks)
  • Real estate (Zillow, Redfin)
  • Cryptocurrency (Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken)

This list may change as we add or remove partners. The absence of a company from this list does not mean we have no relationship with them, and the presence of a company does not mean we always recommend them.

6. Rates, Fees, and Product Information

Financial products change frequently. Interest rates, fees, eligibility requirements, and features described on CalcFi are accurate as of the date shown but may have changed. Always verify current terms directly with the provider before making any financial decision.

CalcFi calculators use publicly available data sources, IRS publications, and financial formulas. We update them regularly, but they are not real-time financial instruments.

7. Not Financial Advice

Nothing on CalcFi constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. The calculators and content are for educational and informational purposes only. Results are estimates based on the inputs you provide. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions.

8. Contact Us
